Este mes tenemos que enviar los paquetes del Spanish Swap de Ravelry. Yo lo tengo preparado hace bastante, pero ahora me han entrado muchas dudas sobre la lana que le envío a mi sorprendida! Por mi lo cambiaría todo! En el cuestionario que me envio mi sorprendida dice qu elleva muchos años teniendo, asi que debe ser una experta y que le gustan los colores marrones etc. nada que ver conmigo, así que me ha costado mucho comprarle algo, de todas formas los ovillos a mi particularmente me gustan mucho. Decidí enviarle ovillos de distintas fibras naturales para que las pruebe (seguro que ya ha tejido de todo aunque no he podido ver ningun objeto terminado en ralvelry!) Lo que sí tengo seguro que enviaré seran estos stitch markers que hice con Caliche.
En todo caso, obviamente tuve que hacer las compras por Internet y claro... algun que otro ovillo para mí también. He comprado seda!!! Por primera vez en mi vida puedo tocar seda! (Digo, un ovillo de seda) Increible! Son 3 ovillos de Debbie Bliss Pure Silk. No tengo ni idea de qué tejer con ellos, pero solo verlos me levantan el ánimo, es más, creo que me da un poco de penita tejer algo con ellos, igual me cargo la seda! jejeje, por ahora estan preciosos en madejas en la mesa del salon y los puedo tocar y ver cuando quiera.
También añadí algunos ovillos de la lana para la manta que me estaba quedando un poco corta.
Por cierto, sobre la manta, no he empezado el cuadrado de este mes. Tenemos que tejer una mezcla de punto de reves y punto de derecho, así que es bastante facilillo y lo dejo para la semana que viene porque... estoy tejiendo un J E R S E Y.... para mi! Dios mio si es que no me lo puedo creer! Despues del desastre del año pasado con el jersey de Caliche voy y empiezo este.
La cuestion es que me pase por una tienda de manualidades para ver si encontraba algo para mi sorprendida y me encontre con la nueva revista de Katia (nº54) primavera - verano ropa mujer. Pues resulta que tiene unos patrones preciosos y decidí hacerme un jersey. Compre todo lo necesario, bueno el patron pedía un tipo de lana, que ahora no me acuerdo, y cuando fui a Punto's no la tenía así que la cambié por Espiga, que es 50% algodon, 50% acrilico, el color es como un lila. Y aquí que empiezo yo con toda la ilusion a hacer el cuadradito para ver la tension... ya ahí emprezaron los problemas, cambio de agujas, teje otra vez hasta que me acerque un poco.
Llevo casi un mes tejiendo el jersey y ya estoy terminando las mangas, así que me queda "bloquear" y coser.... qué nervios!
Espero que me quede, en todo caso, si no es así se lo regalaré a mi madre, que esa pidiendo ya regalos para el dia de la madre. Y si a ella tampoco le queda, pues sera para mi hermana y si a ella no le queda, pues nada, a deshacerlo porque no conozco a alguien mas delgado (que con una talla 34 ya es mas que suficiente).

I was supposed to continue the last blog entry "tomorrow" and it took 4 days... that's me! Sorry.
This month we have to send the packages for the Spanish Swap on Ravelry. I have my package ready but I'm not sure of the yarn I'm sending to my swapee. On the questionare she said that she has been knitting for years and liked brown, etc. nothing like me! so it was a little hard to shop for her. In the end I do like what I bought her. I decided to send her different types of fiber so she can try them (I'm sure she already tried all of them, but I haven't seen any FO from her). The only thing I'm sure I'll be sending are the Stitch Markers I made with Caliche.
Anyway obviously I had to buy online most of the things and I couldn't help it and got me some yarn. Well I bought silk! First time I ever touched silk (I mean a skein of silk). It is incredible, three skeins of Debbie Bliss Pure Silk. I have no idea of what to knit with them, only watching them makes me feel better. I have the skeins by my den's table and look at them and pet them whenever I want.
Also I bought some yarn for the blanket. I have not started the block for this month, it is any stitch combination of purls and knits, and since it is going to be an easy one I will start it next week because... I'm knitting a S W E A T E R for myself! Dear god, I can't believe it either after what happen with Caliche's sweater last year.
I was in a craft store looking for something for my swapee and came across the latest Katia(nº54) issue, spring-summer for women. It has some beautiful patterns on it. So I bought everything I needed. I had to change yarn because when I went to my LYS they didn't had the yarn the pattern called for so we changed it for Espiga, that is 50% cotton-50% acrylic.
Well there I was, all excited about this project and... what? I knitted the st@%$d square to find gauge and? Had to change needles to come a "little" close.
I've been knitting this sweater for almost a month and right now I'm finishing the sleeves. All I have left is to block and sew the pieces together!!!
I hope it fits, if not I'm giving it to my mother (she is asking already for mother's day gifts). And if it doesn't fit her I will give it to my sister, and if it doesn't fit her I'll have to frog it. I don't know anyone skinier(sp?) than her (with a size 0 is more than enough).
